Paul Alan Gray, 77, of Winterset, passed away Sunday (February 23, 2025) at his home.
He was born February 26, 1947 in Cambridge, son of the late Chester Gray and Marjorie (Hallock) Gray.
A 1965 graduate of Madison High School, Paul was a long-haul truck driver for many years and retired from Kurz Kasch. He worked with his father building pole barns, his brother installing satellite dishes, and he helped run Salt Fork Riding Stables.
Paul was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War in the aviation division. He was a member of the American Legion, serving as commander of the Antrim Post and a member of the Cambridge Post.
He was a board member of the Guernsey County Habitat for Humanity.
Growing up, Paul attended Salt Fork Baptist Church and later ran music at the Winterset Methodist Church in honor of his wife, Patty.
He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, and traveling to new areas by car. He never met a stranger. He loved trains, westerns, and watching silly videos
