Quaker City - Donald Delmont "Tom" Oney, 77, of Quaker City, Ohio, passed away with both of his children by his side, on August 5, 2024. Born at home, on February 22, 1947, in Byesville, Ohio, he was a son of the late John and Lola Maxine Oney.Tom graduated from Perry High School in 1965. He was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam war, serving his country with dedication. After his military service, he returned to Ohio and worked for Diebold, Timken, and The Hoover Co in North Canton; from which he retired after many years of faithful service.A man of many interests, he was known for his love of music, particularly the works of Bob Dylan, attending numerous concerts over the years. One of his favorite songs was "Are You Ready" (1980) which echoed his readiness to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. An avid reader, free thinker, and car enthusiast.
