Paul B. Linton, 101, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, at his daughter's home, in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Prior to his 6 year residency in South Carolina, his roots were in Ashland,OH for over 50 years. He born was November 1, 1922, at home, in Barnesville OH to the late E.B. and Lela (Cline) Linton.
Surviving are three daughters, Paula (John Marcy, recently deceased) of South Pasadena, Florida, Roberta Linton of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Karla (Jim Pratt) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
He has 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kelly.
Proceeding him in death is his beloved wife of 61 years, Lillian (Matz); and his brothers, John Linton and Robert Linton.
He spent his younger years in Newark OH, and moved to Akron, OH during his High school years; graduating West High in 1940. Paul worked for the B&O Railroad after High School.
In 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Force. During WWII, he served
