Glennara Lou "Sug" Dickey, 88, of Cambridge, peacefully passed away Thursday (June 13, 2024) at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born May 8, 1936 in Waterloo, daughter of the late Ophard G. Clarkston and Viola D. (Meadows) Clarkston.
A graduate of Cambridge High School, Glennara had worked at NCR for thirty years, where she had been a union steward representative. She later retired from Detroit Diesel after a short time there.
She was heavily involved with CASA and was a big help with Kim's Kids World. She also involved with Secret Santa and with the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center.
Glennara enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, ginseng hunting, and gardening (especially her tomatoes). She raised foxes and raccoons. She loved her hummingbirds. Her favorite thing was sitting around the fire.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Abner Clarkston, Gomer Clarkston, and Freddy Jones; three sisters, Jean Boggs, Martha "Pete" Wallace, and Chrissie
